We're getting ready for another season of great tasting veggies!

CSARegistration2017

What is a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Shared Agriculture. It is a mutually beneficial arrangement between a farmer and their community. Participants pay for a season’s worth of vegetables in advance, allowing a farmer to more effectively plan their season. In return, participants receive excellent value in high quality produce.

Basket Options and Prices

We offer two basket sizes. A half share will feed approximately 2 vegetable eaters, and a full share will feed approximately 4 vegetable eaters or 2 vegetable lovers. A full share is around 3 more items each week than the half share.

Our main season is 22 weeks in length, and runs from the week of June 12th until November 6th. We also offer an optional four week winter extension.

Custom baskets are also available for seasonal residents. Please ask us for further details.

Package option Dates Half Share Full Share
Main Season June 12 – Nov 6 $400 ($18.18/wk) $575
($26.14/wk)
Custom   Prorated for number of weeks
Winter Nov 20, Dec 4
$60 $60

We aim to include 5% more than market value in each weekly delivery to ensure you are getting great value.

Pick-up times and locations

Our season runs from the week of June 12th until the week of November 6th, 2017.  We have two different pick-up times and locations for your convenience:

Day Time Location
Wednesday 4:30-6pm Amherst – behind Manasseh Local Food
Saturday 9am-12pm Sackville – Sackville Farmer’s Market, Bill  Johnstone Memorial Park

We ask that you commit to a pick-up day for the season.

Missed Pick-Up

If you miss your pick-up day, you can retrieve your share at Manasseh for those picking up in Amherst, and Downtown Digital for those picking up in Sackville. The share will be refrigerated for freshness and labeled with your name on it.  It will be removed after 1 week.  We hope that this will make the veggie pick up a little less onerous for you as we know that everyone’s lives are very busy and it is often difficult to commit to being at a certain place and time every week.

Cottage Delivery

If you would like delivery to your residence on the Amherst Shore, we charge 3.00 per delivery. You are also welcome to pick up from the farm free of charge.

Payment Options

Payment can be made in a lump sum amount or by three installments.  We can accept cheques or email money transfers. Please see the registration form for payment details.

Cancellation Policy

Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time for any reason for a full refund of your remaining subscription.

Occasionally we may offer products from other local producers. These products will be clearly indicated.

We try to include 6-8 different items in the half share, and 8-10 items in the full share at each delivery.  The majority of the vegetables that we grow are staple foods. We also like to include a small number of less common items that we really enjoy. Some choices will be provided with each delivery.  A swap box will also be present to enable you to exchange items that you don’t like with those that you do.

How does it work?

We have a market style delivery where you assemble your own weekly basket.  We will provide clear instructions and paper and plastic bags for your use, however we encourage you to bring your own container.  Pick-ups usually take about 10 minutes.

Sounds good, Sign me up!
